Little Rocky Run is a planned community of 2722 homes located about 25 miles
west of Washington, DC in Fairfax County, Virginia. We have 1653 single
family homes and 1069 townhomes.
Our development occupies a total of 950 acres with 215 acres kept as open space
for the enjoyment of our residents. Amenities include three recreation
centers, three swimming pools with adjoining baby pools, 16 tot lots, seven
tennis courts (two are lighted), and three basketball/multipurpose courts.
We also have numerous picnic and play areas as well as miles of paved paths
connected to public sidewalks and used for walking, jogging, and bicycling.
Our residents have ready access
to Route 66, Lee Highway, Route 28, and Braddock Road. A VRE station for
those who commute by train is located four miles to the south and there is an
“HOV Only” access ramp to Route 66 four miles to the east. Dulles
International Airport is located 15 miles to the north.
We have several shopping
centers within two miles of our community. Fair Lakes Shopping Center and
Fair Oaks Mall are located about five miles to the east. We also have a
large movie theater complex near our community.
Union Mill Elementary School is
located within our community. Liberty Middle School
and Centreville High School are adjacent to our community. The elementary
school of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church is a block from our community.

Young people participate in
organized swimming, soccer, baseball, softball, football, and basketball
leagues. Other organized activities available to our young residents
include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Brownies.
Dance classes for young people are available in one of our recreation centers.
For the preschoolers, there
are playgroups.
Periodic free tennis clinics
are available to both adults and children. Our residents patronize several
nearby golf courses, including a public course adjacent to our community.
A public park with athletic fields is adjacent to our community. A larger
public park with athletic fields and a batting cage is nearby and a commercial
golf driving range is a mile away. Other activities enjoyed by adults include
Bunko groups, bridge clubs, and bowling teams.
Seasonal
community events include a Visit with Santa
party, a Spring Egg Hunt, a Halloween parade and party, and a Yard Sale.
Residents hosting a variety of celebrations and parties rent our recreation
centers at nominal cost throughout the year. Several church groups also
meet in our recreation centers and local professionals periodically
conduct seminars in them for a nominal fee. Block Parties and neighborhood
picnics also contribute to our sense of community.
The Little Rocky Run Homeowners
Association is directed by a Board of Trustees consisting of seven volunteer
residents who are elected to serve two-year terms. A community manager
heads a staff of five professionals who handle administrative requirements.
We are committed to ensuring that our association continues to offer a full
range of amenities and services while keeping assessments among the very lowest
in the region.
