A Snow Update: Snow conditions continue to be difficult throughout Little Rocky Run. Public (VDOT) roads are just now getting any significant service though it is unlikely all public roads in LRR will be serviced today. This means the single lane situation prevalent on many public streets is likely to remain for a while. Though our situation is similar to surrounding communities, we continue to inform VDOT of our circumstances. With another storm Tuesday evening, our contractor will keep working in the town home areas cleaning up as much as possible until then. Of course, we will pass on any updates we receive from VDOT and of course, about our contractor’s work. It would be helpful to move any vehicles on public streets where possible – they interfere with work to widen those, annoying, single lanes. American Disposal, was not able to provide service in the single family home areas today. And. We’ve just learned, they will also not be able to do the townhomes Tuesday. Updates are available on American’s web site, www.americandisposal.com. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Welcome to Little Rocky Run... a great place to call home!
Little Rocky Run is a planned community of 2722 homes located about 25 miles west of Washington, DC in Fairfax County, Virginia. We have 1653 single family homes and 1069 townhomes. Our development occupies a total of 950 acres with 215 acres kept as open space for the enjoyment of our residents. Amenities include three recreation centers, three swimming pools with adjoining baby pools, 16 tot lots, seven tennis courts (two are lighted), and three basketball/multipurpose courts. We also have numerous picnic and play areas as well as miles of paved paths connected to public sidewalks and used for walking, jogging, and bicycling.
Our residents have ready access to Interstate 66, Lee Highway, Route 28, and Braddock Road. A VRE station for those who commute by train is located four miles to the south and there is an “HOV Only” access ramp to Interstate 66 four miles to the east. Dulles International Airport is located 15 miles to the north.
Union Mill Elementary School is located within our community. Centre Ridge Elementary, Liberty Middle School and Centreville High School serve our community. The elementary school of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church is a block from our community.
Our residents patronize several nearby golf courses, including Twin Lakes, a Fairfax County public course, adjacent to our community. Braddock Road park with athletic fields and a batting cage is nearby and a commercial golf driving range is a mile away.
In addition to the many exciting sights of Washington, D.C., there are a variety of local attractions that appeal to a wide range of interests. These include the Manassas National Battlefield Park, National Air and Space Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, and Tysons Corner.
Seasonal community events include a Visit with Santa party, a Spring Egg Hunt and a Yard Sale.
The Little Rocky Run Homeowners Association is directed by a Board of Trustees consisting of seven volunteer residents who are elected to serve two-year terms. A community manager heads a staff of committed professionals who handle administrative requirements and benefits available to residents. We are committed to ensuring that our association continues to offer a full range of amenities and services while keeping assessments among the very lowest in the region.
