"Meet the LRR Board Candidates Town Hall" - 7:00 PM - Thursday, January 29, Rec Center #2
The LRR "Meet the Board Candidates Town Hall" is designed to foster transparency, engage residents, and ensure informed voting in our election. The forum will provide a structured environment for board candidates to present their platforms and for community members to ask questions and voice concerns. Terri Slater, Community Manager, will serve as moderator.
Town Hall - Agenda/Structure
A. Welcome and Opening Remarks (moderator)
B. Candidate Statements/Presentations (max 4 minutes per candidate)
C. Question and Answer (Q&A) Session
D. Closing Remarks (max 2 minutes per candidate)
Submission of Questions: The Board of Trustees is soliciting resident questions for the town hall. Questions can be submitted in advance via email to manager@littlerockyrunhoa.org no later than close of business Wednesday, January 28 or during the event. Advanced questions are preferred to ensure clarity and allow filtering out of repetitive inquiries. Each candidate will have two minutes of time to answer each question.
Candidates: The following (7) residents submitted completed candidate applications in accordance with LRR Governing Document requirements: George Dusek, Jasen Hicks, Dan Hill, Lynn Hollerbach, David Ritchey, Ralph Valentino and Jim Zook. Candidate biographies will be printed in the February edition of the News on the Run and posted on the LRR website on Monday, February 2.
Voting: LRR is introducing electronic voting as a new option for residents who have previously provided their email addresses. This is in addition to the traditional paper ballot method. Each owner-occupant will receive a single email per home (regardless of the number of emails on file) on or around February 2, 2026. This email will contain instructions and unique credentials for submitting an electronic vote. Residents have the flexibility to choose their preferred method of voting. However, there are specific guidelines regarding the submission of multiple ballots and the modification of votes. If an owner-occupant wishes to submit two different ballots, for example, by voting for different candidates on each, they must utilize paper ballots for both submissions. The electronic voting system is designed for a single, weighted submission per owner-occupant. Additionally, registered off site owners and tenants will receive an email with their vote weighted accordingly. It is important to note that if both an electronic ballot and a paper ballot are submitted by the same owner-occupant, occupant or owner non-occupant, the electronic ballot will supersede the paper ballot. This means that the electronic vote, with its weighted value, will be the one counted in the final tabulation, and the paper ballot will be disregarded. This policy ensures clarity and avoids potential conflicts when multiple voting methods are employed by a single individual. Once an electronic vote has been submitted, it cannot be modified. Any resident who wishes to change their vote after submission must attend the meeting in person to do so. This requirement ensures the integrity of the voting process and provides a controlled environment for vote alterations.
Your patience is appreciated as we navigate the initial rollout of the electronic voting option for residents. If you have any questions, please reach out to your community manager, Terri Slater, at manager@littlerockyrunhoa.org. Thank you!
